• Who can apply? Current residents of HWU halls only.
• First-come, first-served basis.

⚠️ Terms & Conditions

Residents using the lockable bike shed must agree to the following:

✅ General Use

• One bike per resident is permitted in the bike shed.

• Bike details (brand, colour, frame number, etc.) will be recorded in the ResLife system to identify ownership.

• A photo of your bike may be taken during registration for identification and security purposes.

• Bikes must be secured with an appropriate personal lock (e.g., D-lock or heavy-duty chain). ResLife is not responsible for theft due to inadequate locking.

* While the facility is monitored, the University is not liable for any damage or loss of items stored in the CM lockable bike shed

🚫 Rules of Conduct

• No sharing of padlock codes or allocated spaces.
• Residents must not allow others to store bikes under their name or access.
• Random spot checks will be conducted to ensure compliance.

🔖 Security Measures

• All bikes must be tagged by the University Safeguarding Team as part of registration.
• The storage area is under CCTV surveillance to deter theft and ensure proper use.
• Photos may be used by ResLife for verification and lost bike claims, in accordance with the university’s data protection policy.

📜 Liability & Waiver

• While the facility is monitored, students are advised to take precautions, such as using a personal lock inside the shed.
  
• University is not liable for any damage or loss of items stored in the CM lockable bike shed

💰 Insurance Requirements

• Bikes valued at over £1,000 must be individually insured by the resident.
• We recommend all users confirm their insurance coverage through personal or student policies
