Keep it clean and fair for everyone

Sharing laundry facilities with around 200 students can be a little challenging at times. So, let's do our best to keep the area clean and fair for everyone. 

1.      Set a Timer ⏰

Please collect your laundry as soon as the cycle ends. Leaving clothes in the machine prevents others from using it and may lead to your items being removed.

Please be advised that other students may remove items that have been left in the machine after 30 minutes.

2.      Don’t touch other people’s laundry (unless you really have to)🙅

If a machine is in use or full, wait a few minutes or return later. Only move someone else's laundry if absolutely necessary (i.e. washing has been left in a machine for more than 30 minutes) —and always do so respectfully (use a clean surface or basket if available).

3.      Keep it clean 🧼

Remove lint from dryers, and if you spill detergent or softener, please wipe it up. Leave the space tidy for the next person.

4.      Be considerate of noise 🤫

Avoid doing laundry late at night even if the laundry room is located far from rooms.

5.      Don’t hog multiple machines 🚫

Try not to use all machines at once—especially during busy periods.

6.      Do not overload the machines! ❌

Please don’t overload machines! They won’t be properly cleaned, or if you overload the dryer, your item will not be dry.

7.      Respect laundry day for all 👕

Laundry facilities are shared—let’s keep them friendly and fair by being mindful of each other’s time and space.
