If you are getting ready to move into private rented accommodation for your second year and need an accommodation reference, please complete the form below.

Your reference can help support your application when renting with a private landlord or letting agent.

Please allow up to five working days for your reference to be processed. Once ready, it will be sent to your Heriot-Watt email address.

Before a reference is issued, your student account will be checked, so please make sure all accommodation payments are up to date before submitting your request.

We also recommend saving a copy of your reference once you receive it, as you may be able to use it again for other private rental applications.

In line with GDPR, we are unable to send accommodation references directly to landlords, letting agents or any other third party. Your reference will only be sent to you, then you can share it yourself.
