Tips to survive exam season

Stressed about exam time? Hanaa has got your back with her handy survival guide! 

Here are her top tips to help you power through exam season by focusing more and stressing less. 

  1. Study in a quiet zone to get super focused, choose to study in one of the library's quiet zones, my favourite is on floor 3. 
  2. Fuel yourself with brain food – think bananas, nuts and berries. I managed to find a brain food station on campus, giving out food for free! 
  3. Unwind with a warm chai at ResLife – warm your hands and soul up with a hot cup of chai from ResLife, this really helped me relax during my study breaks so I was ready to go again.
  4. Revise as much as you can the night before – as always I cram in a lot of revision just before an exam, I find it helpful as it stays fresh on my mind for exam day. 
  5. Find your seat number with plenty of time – I like to find my seat number prior to my exam on exam day so I know exactly where to go and there's no need to panic or rush. 
  6. Destress by walking – getting some fresh air can help to take your mind of things or help you think things through better. Check out these green spaces in Edinburgh for some inspiration. 

Yes, prioritise revising this exam season, but prioritise your wellbeing just as much.
