Take the bus to Melrose

The picturesque town of Melrose is just a 20-minute bus journey from Galashiels, making it the perfect place to visit if you fancy a change of scenery. Here you can find Melrose Abbey, plenty of walks and some great independent shops.

Go on a day trip to Peebles

Peebles might be a longer journey to get to (45 minutes on the bus) but it's worth it. Peebles is a historic royal burgh on the River Tweed, making it so scenic with plenty of things to see and do.
