Whether you're arriving at Jean Muir Student Village for the very first time or returning for another fantastic year, we'd like to give you a warm welcome with an evening of food, music and good company!

Join us on Saturday 5 September for our Welcome Weekend BBQ, where you'll have the chance to meet fellow residents, settle into your new home, and enjoy a great atmosphere as we kick off the academic year together.

🌭 Free BBQ for Residents

Enjoy a selection of delicious BBQ food on us! The BBQ is completely free of charge for residents, making it the perfect opportunity to take a break from unpacking and get to know your neighbours.

🍹 Cocktail Cart

Silver Cellar cocktail cart will be serving a range of affordable cocktails and mixers, alongside a selection of exciting mocktails and alcohol-free options, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Please note: Drinks from the cocktail cart are not free and must be purchased separately.  Only drinks purchased from the Silver Cellar cocktail cart are permitted within the event area.

🎵 Music & Good Vibes

We'll have music playing throughout the event to create a welcoming atmosphere and help everyone get into the spirit of the new academic year.

🎟 Wristbands Required for Bar Service

To purchase drinks from the cocktail cart, a wristband is mandatory.

Wristbands will be issued when you:

• Collect your room key on arrival, or
• Visit a member of the Accommodation Team, or
• Speak to one of the Freshers' Representatives.

Please make sure you have your wristband before approaching the bar.
