Sending Mail on Campus

Guide on how to send mail from campus!

Sending parcels from campus may seem daunting and unclear especially when doing it for the first time. Not to worry as we will cover it all in this guide!

First of all, you will need to identify whether you will be sending a letter, or a parcel.

Letters can vary in size but they are usually flat, <1kg, and can measure up to 35.3 x 25 x 2.5cm as seen below, anything larger will be classified as a parcel.

Letters and Parcels are sent differently. Letters can be sent using a postbox, parcelbox, or post office. Whereas parcels can only be sent using a parcelbox, or post office.

Make sure you package your mail, whether that be a envelope for letters, or boxes/parcel bag for parcels. You can acquire these by reusing packaging you receive from ordering parcels, ordering packing materials online, or by purchasing packing material at a post office.

Next, you can follow the link below (https://send.royalmail.com/send) to purchase the postage and to receive a postage label ready to print.

Printers are widely available all over campus, with the most notable locations being in the Library, Learning Commons and Certain Classrooms.

Once you have printed out the postage label, you may stick it to your parcel using tape, and then you can stick it to your mail and take it to the following locations on campus:

(Please note parcels cannot be sent using the postboxes, you must use the parcelbox)
