All the information you need to settle in

You will have the chance to meet a range of services that provide support and guidance to our students, including the Student Union, Sports Union, Oriam, Chaplaincy, Res Life, Student Wellbeing Services, Student Advisors and Riccarton Health Centre. You will also have the chance to meet other international students.

This event is open to all new undergraduate and postgraduate international students, including visiting and exchange students.

The event starts 2pm with a free buffet lunch available from 2-3pm, then presentations in the lecture theatre from 3pm, a 30 minute presentation on settling in at Heriot-Watt and adjusting to life in Scotland at 3pm and a welcome from Police Scotland at 3.30pm.

Some students from the School of Social Sciences will have a clash with a School induction event 2-3pm - please check your induction schedule and ensure you attend your School events as a priority. If you do have an event 2-3pm, we encourage you to still secure your ticket so you can join the presentations at 3pm.
